02 · The finer details

A personal quote, before you decide.

The cost of planning ahead depends on the arrangements you choose. Today’s funeral packages are a helpful starting point for a discussion, rather than a prepaid contract quote.

Before agreeing to prepayment, ask us to explain the provider, inclusions and exclusions, third-party charges, and the cancellation, refund and transfer terms in writing.

Start with your wishes.

Planning ahead creates a record of your preferences. It might cover the kind of farewell you would like, a particular piece of music, your beliefs or the people you want involved.

A plan on file, without prepayment.

Our preplanning service can record your funeral wishes and keep them on file for when they are needed. The current service is offered without a planning fee; you can discuss prepayment separately.

Preplanning and prepayment are different.

You can begin by discussing and documenting your wishes. Prepayment is a separate choice, with its own contract, fees and terms. We will explain the available options before you make a decision.

Record what matters

Talk about the type of arrangement, the atmosphere of a ceremony and any personal details you would like remembered.

Understand the terms

If considering prepayment, request written information on inclusions, fees, instalments, changes and cancellation.

Payment choices, explained.

Prepaid arrangements can be discussed as a single payment or instalments. Administration and provider fees may apply. We will confirm the current contract terms and charges in writing.

Bring your questions.

  • What is included and what would still need to be paid later?
  • Who holds prepaid funds and what terms apply?
  • Can the arrangements change if my wishes change?
  • What happens if I move or choose a different provider?
  • Where should I keep my plan so my family can find it?

Take time to read any documents and seek independent advice if you need it. You do not need to decide about payment during your first conversation.

We can meet where you feel comfortable.

01Can I record my wishes before deciding about payment?

We can start with a conversation about your wishes and the kind of farewell you would like. Planning your arrangements and deciding whether to prepay are separate discussions. Ask us what the next steps involve.

02Is today’s published package price a prepaid quote?

No. The website’s current package prices help you understand the arrangements available today. They are not a guarantee of a prepaid contract price or future third-party fees. We will provide a personal quote and explain any prepaid terms before you decide.

03What should I check before entering a prepaid arrangement?

Ask what is included, what remains payable, how third-party charges are handled, and what happens if your wishes or circumstances change. Review the written cancellation, refund and transfer terms with the provider. Please ask us to explain anything that is unclear.

04Can you meet with me at home?

Home arrangement appointments are available across Sydney, the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. Call us to confirm your suburb and arrange a suitable time.

What is included in a prepaid funeral plan?

The answer depends on the written plan you choose. Ask for each included service and item to be listed, together with anything excluded or payable later. Do not assume that a venue, cemetery charge, extra transfer or every personal choice is covered.

Ask who holds the funds, which terms apply, how changes or cancellation are handled, and what happens if you move. Keep the documents where the person arranging your funeral can find them. Recording your wishes and deciding whether to prepay are separate steps.

For independent information, read the NSW Government guide to funeral arrangements and prepaid options. Timeless will explain the specific available arrangement and provide the terms before you decide.
