How to arrange a funeral on the Central Coast
One conversation. A manageable next step.
A practical guide for families in Gosford, the Peninsula, the coastal suburbs and the Wyong and Tuggerah areas.

1. Start with the immediate circumstances
The first steps depend on where and how the death happened. If you need immediate guidance, read what to do when someone dies in NSW and follow the advice of the treating team or emergency services. You can then call Timeless on 1800 971 001 for help with funeral arrangements.
Tell us your name, a contact number, the exact location of your loved one and any instructions already given. This helps us explain the appropriate transfer arrangements. You do not need to choose a package before making that first call.
2. Choose a comfortable place to talk
We can meet families at home by appointment across our Central Coast service area. Let us know whether Gosford, Woy Woy, Umina Beach, Erina, Terrigal, Wyong or another listed area suits your family. These are communities we serve, not a list of walk-in offices.
Invite the people you would like involved. Known funeral wishes, an existing prepaid plan or cemetery paperwork can be helpful, but there is no need to delay a conversation while collecting everything. Our arrangement guide explains what to expect.
3. Consider the kind of farewell
You may be considering Direct Cremation, a funeral with a ceremony, burial or a separate memorial. Start with any wishes the person expressed and what would help your family remember them.
If guests are travelling from Sydney, the Peninsula or further north, consider the meeting point, access needs and time needed to reach the venue. Confirm the venue and time before sending invitations. A home arrangement meeting and a ceremony may be in different locations.
4. Check cemetery and venue arrangements
An existing family burial or ash site may involve a separate cemetery operator. Bring any documents you have and confirm the holder, permissions, available options and charges with that operator before making plans.
Jilliby Cemetery information and Central Coast Council’s cemetery questions provide independent starting points. These are operator resources, not Timeless premises or a claim of venue partnership. Cemetery availability and fees need individual confirmation.
5. Read the written quote together
Use our funeral prices and itemised fees to explore the options. Ask which costs are included and which depend on your location, transfer timing, venue or personal choices. A written quote should make the total and any additional charges clear before you decide.
6. Keep a note of what matters
Names, music, readings, photographs and questions can be gathered gradually. Our personal conversation guide helps you keep a short list to discuss with us. It stays in your browser unless you choose to save or print it; completing it does not send an enquiry.
