Flexibility to create the funeral you want

What Exactly is a Direct Cremation?

Direct cremation services are cremations that do not include a ceremony of any kind or any attendance at proceedings. This is the most affordable options for families that do not require additional services. This is also often the preferred package if there are financial concerns or very few mourners to attend any proceedings.

Once the cremation process is complete and finalized, you can have the ashes returned to you and choose to organise a private memorial service afterwards. This is a personal choice that can be made at the appropriate time.

Collection of your loved one

We will arrange collection and transport. At this point, they are in our care. We will then collect the appropriate documents from medical or care services. We will then be able to register the death certificate. A simple eco coffin will be used.

Cremation Arrangements

Preparations will be made for a private cremation without attendants at our crematorium.

Returning the ashes to you

Our team take exceptional care in collecting ashes and will transfer these into your care when you are ready. Registration of the death certificate will also be completed on your behalf.

Your choice of memorial

If you think that you would prefer to arrange any kind of viewings, funeral services, or a cremation urn, we recommend that you consider our other package options before contacting our expert team that can assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have regarding our cremation services in Sydney or on the Central Coast.

Cremation Urns

There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to grieving a loved one. This is one of the reasons why we offer a wide range of options for cremation urns.

In our direct cremation package, we return the ashes in a plastic receptacle provided by our crematorium.

If you plan to scatter the ashes, we have on offer either small or large scattering urns designed to make this possible.

For the more eco-conscious we offer biodegradable urns. These are made from recycled plant materials and are designed specifically for water scattering or eco burials.

Our more traditional urns are perfect if you do not have plans to scatter or bury the ashes. You can choose a polished timber urn with an engraved nameplate or a decorative urn.

We carry many designs, styles, and finishes and can talk you through the options to find the most appropriate urn choice. These create a beautiful keepsake that you can have permanently.

Additional Options

Every person is wonderfully unique and they deserve a memorial service and cremation that suits their personality and the legacy they are leaving behind.

While our diverse range of packages offer a range of options, there may be something additional that you feel will make the service special.

We can provide floral arrangements and wreaths, created to your exact needs. Order of service booklets are another popular addition to a full funeral service. An order of service will help those attending know what to expect during the memorial, while also sharing favourite pictures and memories.

Others like to have a keepsake, so you can organise memorial bookmarks. Many options are available, so if you have something in mind please let us know and we will work with you to ensure that the cremation service is tailored just the way that you envision.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How will the ashes be returned to me?

We aim to hand-deliver ashes where possible; if we cannot do so, they will be delivered via registered post service. Ashes can also be collected from our Central Coast office at your convenience.

  • What are the ashes returned in?

We return your loved one’s ashes in the urn of your choosing, or in a standard plastic receptacle as supplied by the crematorium.

  • How long does it take to receive a death certificate?

The wait time for a death certificate in New South Wales is up to 4 weeks. As part of our cremation services, we register the death certificate on your behalf.

  • Can you collect at any time?

An appointment is required for collection, and we will always collect as soon as possible. Please speak to us directly to organise a collection time.

  • What steps are involved in arranging for cremation?

Arranging for cremation typically involves a series of steps. Initially, you can contact the funeral service provider to express your needs and preferences. The provider can assist you in completing the necessary paperwork, arranging the transport of your loved one and ensuring all services are carried out according to your selected package. Throughout this process, every step is conducted to honour your wishes and those of the deceased.

  • What types of cremation services are available?

A variety of cremation services are available to accommodate different preferences and needs. These include straightforward options like direct cremations, which do not involve any formal ceremony or attendance and more comprehensive services, including a funeral ceremony and other personalised arrangements. Each type of service is crafted to help ensure a respectful and dignified farewell. For further information on budget cremations on the Central Coast, reach out to us today.

  • How does the cremation process work?

The cremation process typically begins with the transfer of the deceased from the location of their passing. The body may then be prepared, which could involve dressing and placing it in a coffin if preferred. The next step is the cremation, performed at a crematorium. Once the cremation is complete, the ashes are usually returned to the family in a standard receptacle. However, there are options for more personalised urns or containers to hold the remains.

  • What are the options for handling cremated remains?

There are many ways to handle cremated remains, reflecting personal preferences and the wishes of the deceased. One common option is storing the ashes in a decorative urn made from timber or ceramics, providing a meaningful and lasting memorial. Alternatively, families might scatter the ashes in a special place significant to the deceased. Additionally, some people opt for keepsake jewellery, which incorporates a small amount of the ashes into wearable items, allowing family members to keep a part of their loved ones close.

  • How long does it take to receive the cremated remains?

Typically, the cremation process can take about two to three hours. However, the overall time from the initial transfer of the deceased to the return of the ashes can vary. It can include time for paperwork and permits. Learn more about our process for cremations on the Central Coast, including details on receiving remains.

  • What should I do if I want to plan a memorial service with cremation?

If you’re considering planning a memorial service after a cremation, the funeral home can assist with organising the details. You can choose the venue that best suits your needs, whether it’s a simple gathering or a more elaborate celebration. The team is available to help select a location, plan the service and incorporate personal touches to honour the memory of your loved one.
